Dear Alaska Naturopathic Physician,
We are writing to announce Heron Botanical’s support for the legislative efforts in Alaska. We are donating 10% of everything any member naturopathic physician in Alaska purchases from us to the Alaska Association of Naturopathic Physicians Association (AKANP).
Heron Botanicals prides itself on its selection, educational efforts, and its focus on professionals. We offer over 350 species, including many hard-to-find, overlooked, and unusual herbs in over 550 different products. This includes many low-dose herbs not offered anywhere else, a wide choice of glycerin extracts (not subjected to heat or vacuum, but extracted directly into glycerin), and many topical products. We are dedicated to keeping the full breadth of the materia medica available.
Our catalog has been a useful resource to students and practitioners for many years. We offer seminars at various times on use of low-dose herbs, formulation, and other interesting topics periodically. Also our website has a growing repository of freely available information about botanical medicine.
Finally, we sell only to health care professionals or by prescription. We do not work in the retail market and thus do not have to dilute our message or raise our prices to cover marketing costs and administrative bureaucracy. We also prefer to focus on resources on obtaining the plants at their peak vitality rather than fancy labels or elaborate but clinically irrelevant testing regimes.
